Welcome to the Stowe-by-Chartley Parish Council website, serving the local communities of Stowe by Chartley village,
Amerton, Chartley, Grindley, Drointon and the outskirts of Gayton, Gratwich, Lower Loxley and Lea Heath. This website
aims to provide the community with up to date information about local services, events and Parish Council matters.
The Parish Council is the tier of Local Government closest to the people. The next tier of Government for Stowe-by-
Chartley is Stafford Borough Council and the final tier is Staffordshire County Council. On our website we outline the role
and services provided by the Parish Council along with the details of our councillors. We also provide you with the dates
of our meetings, and copies of the agendas and minutes.
The Parish Council is responsible for many many things including various maintenance contracts in the parish and other
activities such as Speedwatch and Neighbourhood watch.
This site will enable you to find out about our active community, and understand the roles and responsibilities of the Parish
Council. It is our intention to enable more residents to play an active role in the community, participate in more activities,
attend Parish Council meetings, take advantage of our excellent facilities and thoroughly enjoy living in the Parish.
